Bee Hotels
Solitary bees play a crucial role in pollinating plants, including our food crops.

Unlike honey bees which live in large colonies, solitary bees do not have a queen and do not produce honey. This makes them less well know and understood, but they are equally important in the pollination cycle.

By providing a safe and suitable place for solitary bees to nest, bee hotels greatly help and support increasing their declining populations.

You can purchase bee hotels here
Place your bee hotel in a south facing position, sheltered as much as possible from direct wind and rain. Make sure it doesn't sswing or sway in the wind - we dont want any queezy bees!

Make sure your hotel is at least 1 metre off the ground. Planting wildflowers and bee loving plants nearby is certainly a blessing for any occupants too.
